Ismael “Vince” Canales, President/CEO
Vince Canales was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served six (6) years in the United States Air Force (USAF) and was awarded the National Defense Medal for Service during Operation Desert Storm. Upon his separation from the USAF, he became a Prince George’s County Police officer and served for over 21 years. Vince also served three terms as President of the Fraternal Order of Police, Prince George's County, Lodge 89 (FOP Lodge 89) where he helped manage over $600 million in assets for the police pension plan. He currently serves as Chair of the Bowie City Ethics Commission and was a member of the Maryland Police Training Commission. Vince attended and completed the prestigious Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Education for State and Local Government program. He served for six (6) years as President of the Maryland State Fraternal Order of Police representing over twenty-one thousand active and retired law enforcement officers in Maryland. He started CLG & Associates LLC in 2016 and currently serves as President/CEO.
Gerald “Jerry” Moore, Vice President/COO
Gerald Moore was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He served over 29 years in law
enforcement, twenty-four of those years with the Prince George’s County Police Department.
As an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Gerald has served as Chairman of the Minority Affairs Committee, and as a member of several contract negotiation teams. Gerald has served as a Personnel Security Specialist for the past six years for some of our nation’s critical secure agencies. In 2016, he became Director of Operations, and in 2017, became the Vice President/COO of CLG and Associates LLC, a security company specializing in personnel management, comprehensive design planning, and implementation of strategic security programs within the cannabis industry.
Jesse Stewart, Director of Operations
Jesse Stewart, Jr. is the Director of Operations and oversees the day-to-day operations for CLG & Associates, LLC. Mr. Stewart has more than 22 years of Law Enforcement experience and holds a Master of Science Degree in Management from Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Technology, and an Associates of Science Degree in Industrial Electronics Technology, both from Norfolk State University. Mr. Stewart also holds a certification for Police Executive Leadership Program from Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Stewart has held security clearances from the Drug Enforcement Administration (D.E.A.), Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.), United States Marshall Service, and the Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (A.T.F.).
Whitney Thomas, Vice President, Sales, and Marketing
Whitney Thomas has spent over 30 years in sales and marketing. After graduating with a BS in Engineering, his vast sales experience has ranged from working in technical fields such as Industrial Process Control Systems, Energy Management, and Temperature Control Systems, Hardware and Software System Integration, and finally to Visual Arts. His knowledge and expertise developed from working with diverse organizations ranging from Fortune 500 enterprises to small owner-operated firms. These experiences have given him a uniquely versatile and effective approach to building relationships and creating customer value.
Our guards are thoroughly vetted and well-qualified security professionals. The majority of our team are retired law enforcement officers, former military personnel, and security staff with over five (5) years of industry and customer service experience. They must pass stringent and comprehensive company and State mandated background checks as well drug screenings. They strive to provide your personnel, customers, product, and facilities with the highest level of protection in the industry.
CLG meets or exceeds all Federal, State, and Local standards. We maintain all mandated certifications and provide annual in-service training for all of the personnel in order to stay abreast of industry changes.
